"I wrote this book to shine a light on a variety of poetic styles, song writing and writing raps, and how they all bloom from the same place. The book encourages collaboration, empowering readers to tell their own stories. It's a small book that sings brightly off the page and many of the ideas within this book have found themselves onto the stage in collaboration with the wonderful BALLET CYMRU brought to music by the brilliant @frankmoonmusic and @bevleeharling - it's a celebration of creativity, joy, imagination and self expression.
Thanks to the wonderful librarians for recognising the book's potential with this nomination."

In the summer of 2021 I facilitated a poetry workshop with students from Hay Primary school. Together, we wrote a poem for Her Royal Highness, The Duchess Of Cornwall. And the Children read the poem to her during a very special visit to the Hay Festival. It was a brilliant experience and I was very proud of how the pupils performed their poem with confidence and excitement. I also got to talk to her about poetry, my book and my plans for the future. All in all, this was an inspirational day and I'm very grateful to have had this opportunity and to have met lots of lovely people on the day.
Making the Shortlist for this Incredible award was fantastic.
